The International Airport of Guadalajara, "Miguel Hidalgo," is located in the nearby municipal of Tlajomulco, a distance of roughly 17 kilometers, a 30-minute drive from Guadalajara; it is the country's third most important airport. In 2005, according to figures released by the airport's operator, Grupo Aeroportuario del Pacífico (GAP), the airport attended a total of 5,656,023 passengers, of which 3,456,113 were nationals and 2,199,910 were international visitors. From Mexico City, the flight time is around 1 hour 5 minutes; from Monterrey, the flight takes around an hour and 20 minutes.
